On Tuesday the 26th of April at 11:00 GMT (i.e. 13:00 Athens time, 12:00 Amsterdam time), TIME MBE will host a webinar (video-seminar) by Dr Nikolaos Papageorgiadis, from the University of Liverpool Management School. The title of the talk is “International Patent Systems Strength 1998-2011” and it is co-authored with Professor Adam Cross and Dr. Constantinos Alexiou.

A few words about our webinar presenter
Dr Nikolaos (Nick) Papageorgiadis is a Lecturer in International Business. Nick’s research focuses on the differences between national Intellectual Property (IP) protection and enforcement systems and their effect on the international business strategy of firms. At the country level, Nick investigates the role of IP protection and enforcement in explaining innovation, trade and investment and economic growth. At the industry/firm level, Nick researches the effect of IP on MNE/SME international business strategies, innovation, knowledge transfer and firm performance.
Nick has international experience in both business and academia. He is an Associated Researcher at the department of Business Studies of Uppsala University (Sweden), where he was previously a postdoctoral researcher (2010/2011). Prior to joining the Management School, Nick was a Lecturer at Bradford University School of Management (2011-2014). Nick was awarded a PhD in International Business and an MSc in International Marketing Management (with distinction) from the University of Leeds. With regards to his business experience, Nick was active in the real estate industry managing a real estate consulting SME in Bucharest, Romania and has wide experience in managing a retail/wholesale SME in Greece.
