TIME Excellence lecture by Paul Kidner

On Wednesday the 11th of December at 16:00 TIME MBE will host a talk by Paul Kidner. This talk is part of the TIME Excellence Lectures that are delivered by prominent policy makers, academics, practitioners and entrepreneurs. The title of the lecture is: New business, new opportunities.

The lecture will be delivered online and will be projected in the ΣΚΕ lecture hall, University of Crete, Rethymnon Campus.

Paul is currently the General Manager of The People’s Trust, an NGO whose mission is to relieve unemployment in Greece through entrepreneurship. In its first two years TPT has supported over 135 small businesses creating more than 265 new places of employment.

Paul has over 20 years of experience in business development including in the IT, mobile, online media and social sectors. Directly prior to TPT, Paul launched and managed the PRAKSIS Business Coaching Center – which won the Prize for “Youth Entrepreneurship” at the Greek Education Business Awards – as well as creating a pioneering crowd-funding platform for micro-entrepreneurs seeking alternative sources of financing in Greece.

Paul has worked as a consultant and development manager for NGO’s in Greece and abroad. He co-founded a start-up which developed a mobile and digital marketing technology that was shortlisted for investment by Piraeus Capital, and was subsequently used as the basis for one of Greece’s largest banks in creating its very own digital loyalty platform. He is also a member of the board of the EUobserver, one of the key online news services on the European Union.
