TIME Excellence Lecture: Y. Skulikaris, European Patent Office Director

TIME MBE is proud to host a TIME Excellence Lecture by Mr Yannis Skulikaris.

Yannis Skulikaris works in the European Patent Office as Director Operations in the field of Information and Communications technology. He holds a Physics degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Computer Science degree from the University of Hamburg.

He has almost 40 years of professional experience in computer technology and patent protection in the computer field. He has also been instrumental in devising and implementing the EPO operational quality control system including ISO9001 certification.

Having followed education in European Patent Law with the University of Strasbourg and legal studies with the University of London, Mr Skulikaris lectures as a guest lecturer at the Law School of the Maastricht University and the Washington University, St. Louis.

The topic of the lecture is: EPO in support of innovation and economic growth. Patenting practice for computer-implemented inventions
